Аннотация:The results of reprocessing of magnetic measurements made on the Foton-12 satellite (orbited September 9 – September 24, 1999) were described. The processing was carried out in order to reconstruct the uncontrolled attitude motion of this satellite. A simplified mathematical model of attitude motion was used in reprocessing. The actual orbit of the satellite (apogee altitude of 380 km, perigee altitude of 220 km) was replaced by the circular orbit. The expression for the aerodynamic torque influencing the satellite was simplified. The system of differential equations underlying the new model is autonomous and proved to be accurate enough to reconstruct the motion of the satellite from magnetic measurements. In the second half of the flight, this system can be reduced to a generalized conservative one. Such a reduction provides a more definite set of solutions to this system that are suitable for the approximate description of the real motion of the satellite. In some segments of the movement, covering about 3 days, it was possible to use periodic solutions, produced from Lyapunov’s periodic solutions.
