Аннотация:In this paper, we report a new electron–donor benzotrithiophene (BTT) structure, which is not only a promising donor in donor–acceptor copolymers but also can be used as a hole-transporting copolymer in organic field transistors. The large BTT structure is planar and leads to an effective intermolecular package in the solid state. BTT-based polymers have a highly ordered crystal structure and exhibit high mobility of charge carriers. However, structures of this
type have been little studied [7–9]. In this work, we have designed a new BTT-containing monomer as a promising “building block” and used it in synthesis of four new BTTcontaining narrow-gap donor–acceptor conjugated polymers as an electroactive material for solar cells.
