Аннотация:Potential distribution on planar lipid bilayers or modification of this distribution can be analyzed by electrical methods based on electrophoretic mobility, compensation of inner-membrane field, transport of hydrophobic ions, non-stationary potential- or current measurements. These methods give information on changes of the electric potential averaged in planes that are located at different positions relative to the membrane/water interface. Numerous analytical applications of this approach include quantitative analysis of substance – membrane interactions or development of biosensors.
