Аннотация:Genebanks in quite a few countries over the world hold wheat collections of a considerable size. While restoring viability of the preserved germplasm accessions and during their multiplication, they face problems with ensuring their authenticity. This publication offers a universal technique of describing and fast memorizing the diversity of bread wheat forms based on morphological characters of their spikes and kernels, which could be handy for practical work. This description system is founded on the most frequently met sets of spike and kernel morphology traits in bread wheat, which retain the names of their corresponding varieties. Abbreviated Latin names of such traits are used to describe additional characteristics: each is added to the name of the main set.
