Аннотация:Controlled dynamic systems (CDS) are frequently met in nature and
engineering. To study or design a CDS one has to construct its
mathematical model. Mathematical modeling of controlled systems is more
involved than modeling of uncontrolled systems. In fact, mathematical
models of CDS govern complicated processes, consisting of two
interdependent processes of system motion and forming the control
forces and torques. While designing new CDS, mathematical models are
employed to construct identification algorithms and to form the control
signals, i.e. to synthesize the information process in CDS.

This short textbook is based on lectures by the authors at the
Mechanics Division of the Mechanics and Mathematics Department of Moscow
Lomonosov State University. The authors' view is that the situation
in teaching mechanics today resembles that of forty years ago, when
the new course "mechanics of media" was introduced. Estimation and
control theory becomes an integral part of mechanics in the same
manner as thermodynamics and electrodynamics did become an integral
art of mechanics of media. The reader is supposed to be acquainted with
mechanics of particles and media. Thus we assume that the
mathematical model of the controlled object is specified and consider
mainly the problems of mathematical modeling, sensor data processing, and
forming control forces and torques. As a result we obtain the
equations of complete mathematical models of closed-loop CDS.

Due to space limitations we restrict ourselves to the simplest models
of internal and external media which act upon the moving object, and leave
apart a number of analysis and synthesis methods. The latter are widely
presented in the literature. To understand the book a background of
three years studies of mathematics or physics is sufficient.
